• Normal distribution (Z score)

  • Upper tail probability for normal distribution
• T distribution
  • * Many tail probabilities
  • Fewer tail probabilities, more d.f.
• Chi-square distribution
  • * Upper tail probabilities, up to 100 d.f.
• F distribution
  • * F tables with all 3 probabilities together. This is the table that will be distributed with the exams. Corrected description: Columns are numerator d.f.; rows are denominator d.f. Probabilities are shown as 1-alpha. 0.95 is the value to look at to get p < 0.05 or p > 0.05.

    If the observed F statistic is less than the value in the alpha = 0.10 table, p > 0.10. If it's between the values in the 0.10 and 0.05 table, 0.05 < p < 0.10. Ditto for the 0.025 and 0.01 tables. If it's more than the value in the 0.01 table, p < 0.01.
